Tech solutions in red-lined and overlooked spaces are decades behind in quality, despite undeniable demand and profitability. Courtesan Ventures exists to build in these markets with intention, elevating high-demand industries through exceptional design, branding, and user experience.
FOUNDER
Thea Wayne, is the founder of Courtesan Ventures.
Thea Wayne built and sold two CPG companies in her 20s, moving on to building the top 5% Spotify video podcast Seggs Talk Radio, which discusses human sexuality. Her interviews and passionate audience inspired her to build Testie, the first brand in the Courtesan Ventures portfolio.
Thea recognized that most companies touching the sex and sex work categories were built with outdated tech, distasteful branding, and clunky user experiences. Existing products are created by teams disconnected from the realities of modern intimacy, and overwhelmingly run by men.
Seeing this gap, she envisioned a new wave of ventures designed with top-notch user experience and design excellence at their core. She is committed to dismantling stigma and creating space for innovation in one of the most underserved yet universal sectors.
